We are open to all keen photographers who are looking to further their skills and share their enjoyment of photography with like minded friends. Some Photographers join as complete novices, others looking to further their existing skills. All quickly benefit from the Society experience of sharing images, advice and technical knowhow.
A number of our members have received recognition at regional and national level with the Western Counties Photographic Federation and the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and the aim of the Society is to promote the growth of our members through the sharing of experience and knowledge.
One of the backbones of the group is our monthly competitions, where both set and open subject images are entered for comment and constructive feedback by a Judge from the Western Counties Photographic Federation. New Members are encouraged to enter but it's by no means compulsory.
We have friendly competitions with other clubs in the area and we generally have at least one Lecture each month by an ouside expert Photographer.
Our meeting room is the Rear Hall of Sydenham Community Centre, Parkway, Bridgwater, TA6 4QZ where we meet weekly at 07:30 on a Tuesday evening from Sept-May for lectures, competitions and practical evenings.
