Newsletter 3rd September 2020

Hi BPS members

Our season started off very well with great support from members for our first full club meeting via zoom. Our chairman Martin Barber kicked of the evening by welcoming new members, he then ran through the club’s programme of events.

All meetings for September will be online due to the Covid 19 situation but our meeting situation will be reviewed on a monthly basis in an attempt to get back to physical meetings asap. Once again Martin has put together an excellent programme for members to look forward too. (Watch this space) We have at least one professional speaker every month which can be joined by non members for a small fee.

Then came the awards for 2019/20, For the first time ever one member carried off all the major awards. So, the season’s highest combined print and digital scores, best overall individual print and best digital image awards all went to Andy White. Andy has set standards so high that it will take a lot of catching up to prevent him repeating this incredible achievement. Well done Andy and well done to everyone; our standards are a credit to all members who take part in the monthly competitions. Here’s the two images that took top spot in both print and digital competitions.

Film Noir

Campo del Ghetto
