We had a well attended meeting on Tuesday when we were treated to an assessment of our images by our Judge for the evening Ralph Snook. The subjects were print Open and digital Black & White, giving the Judge a real challenge to select his top images. It was great to see so many entries and hopefully you all appreciated the Judges remarks in the constructive context that they were intended.
Congratulations to the winners in each category as shown below:

We will have a lecture from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, as I have now received this I can confirm it contains some instruction on what an Audio Visual is, what to use and how to create one. It then has several example shows for us to watch of ‘Winning Club’ standard, ‘Winning Regional’ standard and ultimately ‘Winning National’ standard presentations. Some presentations are amusing whilst others are moving, but all really do show what can be achieved using todays digital AV presentation software.
We are planning several trips this summer, should you wish to join us for a trip to Fairford ‘the best air show in the world’ on Friday 19th July please let us know by Tuesday so we can secure tickets at the super early bird price of £47.
Friday will return to a preview day with a 4 hour flying display from 11am to 3pm, with aircraft arrivals either side of this. On Friday the showground will open at 7.30am and close at 6.30pm. Also just confirmed the Red Arrows are flying, this being their last UK show before a tour of USA & Canada. See the link for show details https://www.airtattoo.com/ .
Looking forward to seeing you all next week. Regards Martin
