December 12th. We have our annual Christmas social which once again is being held at the Harvest Moon North Newton, 7 for 7.30pm. Some have paid in full and some who booked have only paid their deposit, please bring the correct money £15-00 per person on the evening but better still please send to Aneka as I’m sure she could do without messing about during the meal. It’s not too late to come along or bring a friend because at the moment we have fewer than the required 25 attending.

Future Events

Do you want your committee to arrange a meeting for December 19th? it’s been suggested that we hold a “Beginners Night” which can include any subjects you wish. Please let me know if you plan to attend and subjects to include asap to allow time to make arrangements. To make this worthwhile we need a minimum of 6 members.

This Sunday morning coming, 10th December, we have been invited to take photos of a local charity event in the form of a tractor/vintage vehicle run. It is being organised in aid of cancer research by farmers and enthusiasts and is due to start at 10am from Compton Dundon. I will be leaving Bridgwater about 9.20 let me know if you wish to join me. See below.

January 2nd 2018. ABC competition will be PRINT only. We need to look at the images all together, see if we can tell what the letter is and then vote for the three which we feel best fits the brief. It’s not really possible to do that if we include DI as well.

Also at our first meeting of the new year we have another Smartphone Competition.

Don’t forget our most challenging competition of the year which we have to enter in January when we ask you all to have a go at presenting an entry on the subject of “Altered Images”.

Best wishes

Brian
