Weekly Newsletter 8th November

Hi BPS members.

What a great panel competition we had, eight print entries and seventeen DIs which made for very tough competition in this annual event. Since joining the club I have noticed that this competition has become more and more competitive. In the past some entries were stuck on a cornflake packet! last night saw some great and unusual entries from members wishing to push the boundaries. See the winning entries on the website or FB. The prints section was won by Peter Owen, 2nd Brian Sweeting and 3rd John Gamblin. In the DI competition Jim Goddard had a resounding victory followed by Brian Sweeting and Keith Perry in joint 2nd place and Aneka Woodman in 3rd. The DIs were judged by the membership and the prints by Darren Hillman - thanks Darren for a fantastic job and for giving us such informative feedback. Darren pointed out that some of our entries would benefit from being edited using Lightroom. He has agreed to prepare a talk in the new year “Lightroom - Simply the Best”.
