Hi BPS Members,

We were pleased to welcome Laura Pearce who judged our first monthly competition on the challenging subjects of ‘Catch the Light’ and ‘Wide Angle’. Laura treated us to extensive, constructive comments and attributed a score to each image. It was pleasing that of the four top scores awarded this including the image titled ‘City Lights’ by new member Marcia Randle. Congratulations to Marcia and the top scorers detailed blow.

Next Week’s Meeting

On 3rd Oct we have an evening with John Tilsley a respected member and judge from the WCPF. John will give us an insight into how to prep for judging and will follow with a personal critique of a selection of images. Please bring up to two images for an opportunity to get John’s expert feedback.

Events of Photographic Interest

Bridgwater Fair until 30th Sep - This event offers good opportunities to get a special shot, think about upcoming club competitions because this event could be very relevant.

October 14th/15th - National Ploughing competition at Bishops Lydeard. See here

If you have any ideas or suggestions for days out with our cameras, please let us know and I will try to coordinate sharing transport etc.

And finally, as we prepare the next seasons programme we do require your feedback on competition subjects and any evening lectures or activities you would like included.
